PROBLEM / GOAL
Install a bitcoin mining heating source at a multi-acre greenhouse c/w:
- Minimizing the cost per kilowatt for electrical distribution and miner housing within a weather-resistant environment.
- Minimal modifications to existing facilities.
- Sound attenuation (< 60db).
- Portable / temporary deployment.
- Simple installation & maintenance
- Withstand Florida climate
SOLUTION
Upstream Data shipped 4x 8ft (12-miner ea.) Black Boxes to customer’s greenhouse located in Davie, Florida.
- Sound attenuated to < 55db
- Project totaling ~ $125/kW delivered c/w with 8x 6-port 240V single phase PDUs
- Minimal disturbance to customer’s facility
- Pre-installed low voltage PDUs allowed for ease of installation and service compatibility
- Reliable mining heat & high uptime to date
The BlackBox was the ideal product for our all-weather deployment. It was cost-effective, easy to install + reuse heat from server exhaust, and has performed as-advertised. A great way to house bitcoin servers anywhere. ”
